Where can i get a small, affordable wind speed recorder to determine my sites suitability for power generation using your mini wind mills?
Hello, thank you for your message. We do not currently offer these ourselves but we have had great results with a vane probe we bought in CT for $150. (Prices seem to have gone up a bit since then.) The device can be connected via RS-232 to log via any Mac, Linux or even Win PC where the Open Source variants of logging software seemed to be more numerous (of course).
Try http://www.tek-inst.com/model-yk-80ap-digital-vane-anemometer.html for details, or you may also want to check out http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/EXTECH-Anemometer-1PKZ4?cm_sp=IO-_-IDP-_-BTM_BTB05209020&cm_vc=IDPBBZ2
Hope this helps.
Merry Christmas and kind regards,
Mark
